A Short Story
Starting with a desire to continuously study medicine and seek knowledge through research, Prof. DR. Dr. Sri Rezeki Hadinegoro, Sp.A(K), and other pediatric infectious disease specialists collaborated to conduct clinical trials in 2011. Since then, enthusiasm for clinical trials has steadily increased. After conducting several COVID-19 research studies, the demand for clinical trials grew significantly. To facilitate researchers, the Infectious Disease Division in the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia - Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital transformed the research group into the Pediatrics Tropical Disease and Infection Research and Innovation (Petridish) Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia on November 19, 2023. Petridish-FKUI was established to serve as a platform for the development of clinical trials for vaccines and medicines, as well as the epidemiological study of infectious diseases.
